The Thomson company began as an aerospace component fabricator making precision parts using CNC equipment. In the mid-1990s the company began making bicycle components. The result was a line of innovative, beautifully made parts.
The tube and head of the Thomson seatpost are integral-machined from one piece of high-strength 7000 series aluminum. The head is not pressed or bonded in. This allows for superior strength and minimum weight.
